Biathlon 4 All brings families together for International Biathlon Day in Kyiv
A family festival dedicated to International Biathlon Day was held in Kyiv. For the second year in a row, the organisers were truly happy to see children participating together with their parents — that was the main condition for participation.
Sport brings families together, creates unforgettable memories, and inspires an active lifestyle. This year, more than 100 participants joined the event. The festival included two stages. First, Olympic champion Olena Pidhrushna congratulated the children on the occasion and held a master class on rifle handling, sharing her experience and passion for biathlon. After that, the children were the first to test the course by completing running and prone shooting activities. Then the parents received their start numbers and teamed up with their children for the main relay race.
But it was more than just sports activities — it was a real quest. Teams had to overcome obstacles, complete different challenges, throw balls at targets, practise shooting skills, and finish the course carefully without touching the cones. Every team received a trophy for participating in the relay, as well as gifts, certificates and medals.
The atmosphere was truly incredible — full of smiles, support, excitement and team spirit. Participants also had the opportunity to get autographs from the Olympic champion and take memorable photos together.
"We strongly believe that events like this help children fall in love with sports from an early age, encourage them to dream bigger, and inspire parents to lead by example. Because the most meaningful victories are the ones we achieve together. This is what means for us Biathlon 4 All!" - Lily Budzulyak, B4A Project Coordinator in Ukraine.
