A school biathlon tournament took place on 15 April at Lyceum No. 57, located at 19-A Prorizna Street in Kyiv, as part of the Biathlon 4 All initiative. The event, featuring Kiwi Precision laser rifles, highlighted both increasing participation and steady progress in the development of the project.

A total of 60 children aged 10–11 took part, supported by five coaches, including National Biathlon Team coaches Oleksii Kravchenko, Oleksandr Bilanenko, and Oleksandr Kravchenko. The competition was overseen by head referee Nataliia Kravchenko, with Mariia Kravchenko serving as the responsible coach and organiser. National team athlete Liliya Steblyna also attended, adding inspiration for the young participants.

The event began with an educational workshop, where children were introduced to biathlon, learned how to safely handle a rifle, and had the opportunity to meet a professional athlete. This was followed by a relay competition, with participants divided into three teams, encouraging both teamwork and friendly competition.

Organisers reported very positive feedback from children and parents alike, noting a dynamic, well-organised atmosphere throughout the day. Coaches highlighted strong discipline and cooperation among the participants.

Lily Budzulyak, Biathlon 4 All Project Coordinator, emphasised the broader impact of the initiative, stating: “This approach allows us to achieve our goals of ensuring that children’s leisure time is fun and active, while promoting teamwork and interest in biathlon.”
