The Biathlon for All project is set to expand, with the International Biathlon Union (IBU) announcing support for 15 National Federations in the 2024/2025 season. Among these are two new participating nations: Kazakhstan and Slovenia, bringing the total number of countries involved in the program to 43. This expansion underscores the IBU's commitment to developing biathlon globally, offering equipment, resources, and support to foster growth in new regions. The addition of Kazakhstan and Slovenia marks an exciting opportunity to further engage young athletes and biathlon enthusiasts in these countries.
Promoting biathlon is a vital part of the IBU Target 30 strategy. IBU wants to inspire and encourage kids and youth to practice biathlon by giving them sustainable, safe equipment and a comprehensive activities toolkit that can be used across the world. In this connection, the IBU, in collaboration with equipment suppliers, wants to develop a program for its members on how to implement laser/optical rifles in their strategy and recruitment. In addition, IBU offers NFs a digital package with visual identity and templates to support project promotion in social media and to be used on printed materials.
