Biathlon 4 All in Slovenia: Come, hit the target and feel the biathlon spirit!

Biathlon is coming closer to you! Through the Biathlon 4 All programme, delivered in cooperation with the International Biathlon Union (IBU), the Slovenian Ski Association is working to bring biathlon to as wide an audience as possible.

The goal of Biathlon 4 All is to introduce this exciting and increasingly popular sport in a fun, safe and accessible way. Using sustainable and completely safe equipment, and through activities that promote movement and inclusion, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to experience the unique world of biathlon first-hand.

A sport like no other

Biathlon is much more than “just” a sport. It is a fascinating combination of endurance, speed and tactics, where athletes push their bodies to the limit while keeping their minds calm and focused.

During skiing or movement on the course, the heart rate rises rapidly - but in an instant, everything must shift into stillness, precision and mental control when aiming at the target. This contrast between maximum effort and complete concentration is what makes biathlon so special and so attractive.

And now, everyone can try it!

Experience biathlon up close this winter

In the month when the sporting world will be watching the biggest winter competition with great interest, Slovenia will also offer fans and newcomers the chance to feel the biathlon atmosphere up close.

A series of events will take place in the coming weeks, where participants can learn the basics of the sport through Biathlon 4 All and, for a moment, feel like Slovenia’s top biathletes Jakov Fak and Anamarija Lampič.

Urban Snow Playgrounds and family activities

A key highlight of the programme will be the Urban Snow Playgrounds, designed to bring snow sports closer to city centres.

Mornings will be dedicated to organised primary school groups, while afternoons will welcome families. Children and parents will be able to try a variety of “mini-courses” in different skiing disciplines - including biathlon with laser rifles.

Biathlon 4 All will also be featured at the Winter Olympic Festival, at Šolar na smuči (Schoolchildren on Skis) events, in Odiseja’s Winter Village, and in selected shopping centres.

Safe and accessible for everyone

Because safety comes first, all events will use laser rifles, which simulate accurate shooting without ammunition. This makes them ideal for beginners and perfect for anyone taking their first steps into biathlon.
