The Belgian Biathlon Federation has celebrated a successful few months for its Biathlon 4 All initiative, which continues to bring the excitement of biathlon to young people across the country.

From March to August, the programme’s laser rifles were based in Tournai, where more than 800 children and young people had the opportunity to try biathlon for the first time. The activities were made possible through the support of the Ville de Tournai, the Collège de Kain, and the local Cocoach club, all of whom hosted the equipment and welcomed participants with enthusiasm.

Following this successful period, the rifles have now moved to Malonne, where they are being hosted by the Sports et Nature Sambre et Meuse club and a local school. The initiative will continue there until the end of the year, giving even more young people the chance to discover the sport.

“Biathlon 4 All aims to inspire a passion for biathlon in children and young people,” said Manon Prenat, Belgian Coordinator for Biathlon 4 All. “The rifles were in Tournai for five months and were used by more than 800 young people. They are now in Malonne, in a sports club and a school, until the end of the year.”

Through Biathlon 4 All, the Belgian Biathlon Federation hopes to nurture future generations of athletes and make biathlon accessible to all - bringing sport, nature, and community together.
