The Ski and Snowboard Association of Thailand successfully introduced hundreds of young athletes to the sport of biathlon through its Biathlon 4 All programme, held alongside the 41st Thailand National Youth Games at Suratthani Rajabhat University from 14–16 May 2026.

Designed to promote the Olympic winter sport to newcomers, the initiative gave participants a practical introduction to the fundamentals of biathlon. Young athletes learned essential laser rifle safety, basic shooting techniques, and how precision target shooting is combined with physical activity to create one of the world's most demanding endurance sports. For many, it marked their very first experience of biathlon.

Alongside the athlete sessions, the Association also delivered an introductory workshop for provincial coaches. The education programme provided an overview of the sport, athlete development pathways, and guidance on how biathlon can be introduced and developed within provinces across Thailand.

The event attracted 276 participants representing 29 provinces, with athletes attending from all five sports regions of Thailand. The accompanying coach education session further strengthened the programme by equipping local coaches with the knowledge needed to support future development.

The Ski and Snowboard Association of Thailand views the success of the initiative as another important step towards expanding participation in winter sports and building a stronger foundation for the future of biathlon nationwide.
