On 30 May 2026, the Biathlon for Everyone event brought sporting excitement, family entertainment, and outdoor activity to the heart of Kudowa-Zdrój as part of the global celebration of International Biathlon Day.

A specially constructed laser shooting range featuring eight shooting lanes was set up in the town's Spa Park, giving participants the opportunity to experience the summer version of biathlon – a combination of running and laser rifle shooting. Competitors of all ages tested their concentration and accuracy immediately after physical exertion, experiencing the unique challenge that defines the sport.

The event welcomed children, teenagers, and adults regardless of sporting experience, while special activities were prepared for the youngest participants. Families enjoyed a full day of entertainment including obstacle courses, target games, archery, inflatable attractions, smoothie-making bicycles, and prize giveaways.

The highlight of the day was the open biathlon competition, which allowed everyone to compete in a friendly and inclusive environment. Participants had the opportunity to discover the values of biathlon while enjoying a memorable day of sport and recreation.

“Hosting the Biathlon for Everyone event in Kudowa-Zdrój as part of the International Biathlon Day was a great opportunity to introduce people of all ages to the excitement and values of biathlon,” said Patryk Niszczuk, Administration Manager of the Polish Biathlon Association and Biathlon for Everyone Event Organizer.

“Our goal was to create an open and welcoming environment where children, families, and adults could experience the sport, learn new skills, and enjoy being active together. The event demonstrated that biathlon is not only a competitive sport but also an excellent way to promote healthy lifestyles, fair play, concentration, and respect.”

Niszczuk added that the enthusiastic response from participants, many of whom were trying biathlon for the first time, highlighted the importance of initiatives that make sport accessible to everyone.

The event formed part of the worldwide International Biathlon Day celebrations and successfully introduced new audiences to the sport while promoting active lifestyles and community engagement.
