“Biathlon for Everyone” opens 2026 season in Poland with strong turnout in Duszniki-Zdrój
The Biathlon for Everyone series has returned for its twelfth edition. The new season officially began on 25 April in Duszniki-Zdrój, where competitors of all ages took part in the opening event of the calendar in a lively and family-friendly atmosphere.
Special arrangements were made for the youngest participants, born in 2021 and later. Instead of shooting, they completed a short running course followed by beanbag throwing at a target, offering children a safe and enjoyable introduction to the sport.
Participants born in 2020 and earlier combined running with shooting using laser rifles. Competitors were divided into several categories: K1/M1, K2/M2, K3/M3, K4/M4, as well as K OPEN and M OPEN for women and men respectively.
The opening event attracted an impressive turnout, with 148 women and 109 men taking part across the various categories.
The competition once again demonstrated the continuing popularity of biathlon-inspired activities in Poland, particularly among young people and families, as the long-running series begins another season across the country.
