Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated International Biathlon Day in Pale

Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated International Biathlon Day 2026 on 30 May with a community event held at Olympic Square in Pale, bringing together young athletes, families and local residents.

The programme began at 17:00 with races for the Under 12 and Under 14 categories for both girls and boys. The competitions provided young participants with the opportunity to experience biathlon in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

From 18:00, the event was opened to the wider public, with community activities, promotional material distribution and opportunities for visitors to learn more about biathlon and local sports initiatives.

The celebration also featured games and activities combining physical movement with laser rifle shooting, allowing participants of all ages to experience key elements of biathlon in an interactive and family-friendly setting.

The event concluded at approximately 20:00, bringing together athletes, spectators and members of the local community to mark International Biathlon Day and promote the values of sport, inclusion and active lifestyles in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
