Children discover biathlon and roller skiing at Regional Sports Day

Saturday 23 May saw an excellent turnout at the “Giornata dello Sport” held in Lama Mocogno, in the province of Modena, as children from schools across the region enjoyed a day of sport and outdoor activities.

Pupils had the opportunity to try roller skiing and biathlon shooting using laser rifles, guided by Sandro Sala and his team from the local ski club, ASD Olimpic Lama Mocogno.

Under the supervision of their teachers, the children learnt how to hit the biathlon targets and practise moving on roller skis. The event also attracted many curious parents, who came along to watch and support their children throughout the day.

In total, 93 primary school pupils and 74 middle school students took part in the event, which proved to be a great success for both organisers and participants alike.
