Children discover biathlon at Kinderfest 2026 in Rein

On Sunday, 1 March 2026, ASV Rein hosted a lively Kinderfest, giving children the chance to explore biathlon and cross-country skiing in a fun and welcoming setting.

Under clear skies, organisers set up a laser rifle shooting range alongside an obstacle course for young skiers, complete with small jumps to add excitement. A strong turnout gathered around the laser shooting station, where many children eagerly tried their hand at biathlon.

Equipment was provided free of charge for the day by Armin Kirchler from the Rein cross-country ski rental service, a gesture warmly appreciated by organisers and families alike. Refreshments were also available, with parents contributing homemade food and baked goods.

The event created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, with organisers hopeful that it may have inspired some children to take up cross-country skiing or biathlon in the future.
