The Olympic Park in České Budějovice, Czechia, emerged as one of the most successful projects of the Winter Olympics, attracting significant media attention and tens of thousands of visitors over the course of the Games.

Held from 6 to 22 February 2026, the park welcomed an impressive 112,000 visitors, offering an engaging programme for families, sports enthusiasts and dignitaries alike. Among the guests of honour were current Winter Olympic medallists, whose presence added excitement and prestige to the venue.

The event also drew high-profile political attention. The President of the Czech Republic and his wife visited the park, taking part in a friendly shooting contest at the laser shooting range - an activity that proved highly popular with visitors of all ages.

Biathlon and cross-country skiing activities, delivered under the “Biathlon 4 All” concept, were among the standout attractions. The initiative successfully engaged large numbers of young participants, highlighting Czechia’s commitment to accessible winter sports.

Participation figures underline the scale and impact of the project. A total of 6,375 young people took part in organised activities, including 3,150 children under 15, 1,715 youths, and 1,510 juniors. The programme was supported by 10 volunteers and two instructors, ensuring smooth operation throughout the event.

With its combination of elite athlete appearances, public engagement, and inclusive sporting opportunities, the Olympic Park has set a benchmark for future fan zones and grassroots initiatives linked to major sporting events.
