Frignano School Winter Olympics bring together over 120 young participants
The Olimpiadi Invernali Scolastiche del Frignano, held on 3 March in Lama Mocogno, brought together a large group of young participants in a vibrant celebration of winter sport and school engagement.
Organised by Sala Marco and Sala Sandro, the school-based event attracted a total of 127 participants across different age groups. Among them were 67 children under the age of 15, consisting of 32 boys and 35 girls, alongside 60 youths, including 28 young women and 32 young men.
The event focused on cross-country skiing and Ski Erg activities, offering participants a combination of outdoor endurance sport and indoor training techniques. The varied programme allowed young people to experience different aspects of biathlon in a structured and inclusive environment.
With two coaches or instructors overseeing the activities, the event was delivered efficiently, ensuring both safety and engagement for all involved.
