The Gyeonggi–Pocheon Laser Run Competition, held on 15–16 November 2025 at Pocheon Stadium, attracted around 300 participants, reflecting growing enthusiasm for laser-based biathlon formats. The event included 140 athletes, alongside officials, staff, and a large number of parents and spectators.
Open to elementary, middle school, high school, and junior and senior categories, the competition featured sprint and relay races adapted by age group. Younger athletes up to middle school level competed using laser rifles, with under-12 participants completing a 0.5km–shoot–0.5km–shoot–1km course, while under-16 athletes tackled 1km loops between shooting stages.
Older competitors raced over longer distances, with 4km for men and 2.5km for women. Relay events for younger categories involved teams of three, each completing two loops with prone shooting only.
