International Biathlon Day in Japan offers an engaging programme designed to inspire athletes and introduce the sport to new fans. The main outdoor area opens at 09:30, featuring athlete sessions with national team members, U15 and U18 development athletes, and non-athlete students aged 13–22. A 200-metre running relay with shooting follows, alongside a try-shooting zone and talks with national athletes. From 11:30, participants can watch a series of “shot-out” challenges featuring athletes, juniors, mixed groups, and the public, with a further open challenge at 12:00 and a group photo at 12:20. Try-shooting continues into the afternoon. Indoors, visitors can explore an exhibition on biathlon, its athletes, and equipment, with additional try-shooting lanes available until midday. The event aims to raise enthusiasm for the upcoming Olympic season, motivate junior athletes, and share the excitement of biathlon by allowing everyone to meet athletes, learn about the sport, and take part in shooting activities.
