On 25 May, biathlon clubs across Slovenia will host a nationwide Open Day, inviting children, parents, and local communities to discover the excitement of biathlon. Events will be held at training areas in towns throughout the country, offering visitors the chance to try shooting with safe laser rifles under the guidance of experienced coaches. Fun obstacle courses inspired by biathlon will allow kids to run, play, and test their agility, while one of the highlights is a playful challenge combining cycling and laser shooting – a simplified introduction to the sport. The day promises a family-friendly atmosphere with music, entertainers, and refreshments, ensuring a lively and welcoming experience. Every participant will receive a special diploma featuring a QR code linking to details about Slovenian biathlon clubs, training times, and joining opportunities. The initiative aims to promote active, healthy lifestyles, inspire future athletes, and bring new fans and supportive families into Slovenia’s vibrant biathlon community.
