Canada will celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026 on 30 and 31 May with a series of accessible and family-friendly biathlon activities taking place across several locations including Chelsea, Sherbrooke, and Lévis.
The events will invite children, families, friends, and newcomers to discover biathlon through fun and safe introductory activities suitable for all ages and experience levels.
In Chelsea, activities will take place at Camp Fortune in cooperation with Chelsea Biathlon, while in Sherbrooke participants will be able to discover both traditional and adapted biathlon activities at the Centre Julien Ducharme and Parc Jacques Cartier on 30 and 31 May. In Lévis, the celebrations will continue at Parc des Chutes-de-la-Chaudière with open public activities organised by local biathlon clubs.
The programme will include opportunities to try biathlon in an inclusive and welcoming environment, with a particular focus on accessibility and adapted biathlon experiences. Additional competitive training camps for athletes will also be organised in Sherbrooke and La Patrie during the same weekend.
Through these events, Biathlon Québec aims to promote healthy lifestyles, inclusion, grassroots participation, and awareness of biathlon while encouraging new participants to discover the excitement of the sport as part of the global International Biathlon Day celebration.
