China will celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026 with a week-long programme of educational and interactive activities taking place from 25 to 31 May at the Affiliated Primary School of Dehua County Teachers’ College in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province.
The event will introduce children and young participants to the world of biathlon through fun knowledge competitions, biathlon-themed lectures, and practical sport experiences designed to promote learning and participation in an engaging environment.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet champion athletes, learn about the history and values of biathlon, and take part in introductory biathlon activity experiences adapted for beginners and school-age participants.
Through this initiative, China aims to increase awareness of biathlon among young people, encourage healthy and active lifestyles, and inspire future participation in winter sports through education, interaction, and community engagement.
