International Biathlon Day 2026 in Croatia

Croatia will celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026 on 30 May in the town of Oroslavje with a full-day programme of sport, environmental awareness, and community activities taking place in Park Vraniczany, the town centre, and local sports facilities.
The event will begin in the morning with participant registration followed by the “Save Our Winters” environmental initiative, including a community clean-up activity, environmental awareness presentations, music, and public engagement activities aimed at promoting sustainability and outdoor sport.
From approximately 11:00 onwards, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a Laser Rifle Shooting School, where children and spectators can learn the basics of biathlon shooting through demonstrations and supervised practice sessions led by coaches and members of the Croatian national team.
The main sporting programme will include the Open Croatian Championship in Youth Cross Biathlon, combining running and laser shooting for young athletes, followed by a recreational biathlon race open to children, parents, and visitors of all ages. The afternoon activities will focus on participation, fun, and family engagement, with medals awarded to all recreational participants.
The event will conclude with an awards ceremony, recognition of athletes and clubs, and community celebrations before the official closing activities in the evening.
Through this celebration, Croatia aims to promote healthy lifestyles, environmental responsibility, youth participation in sport, and the inclusive spirit of biathlon within the local community.
