International Biathlon Day 2026 in Poland
Poland will celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026 with two editions of the “Biathlon dla Każdego” (“Biathlon for Everyone”) event, taking place on 30 May in Kudowa-Zdrój and on 31 May in Ludwikowice Kłodzkie.
The events will be organised in publicly accessible locations, allowing local communities, families, and visitors to discover biathlon in a safe and engaging environment. Traditional biathlon rifles will be replaced with environmentally friendly laser rifles, making it possible to hold competitions in parks, city centres, and other open public spaces without restrictions or safety concerns.
The programme will begin at approximately 09:00 with the opening of the shooting range, followed by participant registration from 10:00 and the first races from 11:00 onwards. Competitions will be organised across different age categories, with races taking place throughout the day at regular intervals depending on participant numbers.
The events are open to anyone willing to take part, regardless of experience level, with distances adapted according to age categories. All participants will receive commemorative medals, while top competitors in each category will be recognised during the afternoon awards ceremonies.
By combining sport, accessibility, and public engagement, “Biathlon for Everyone” aims to promote active lifestyles, introduce new audiences to biathlon, and create a fun and inclusive sporting experience for communities across Poland.
