International Biathlon Day 2026 in Romania
Romania will celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026 through the Biathlon 4 All Romania project, organised by the Romanian Ski and Biathlon Federation together with local partners. The main event will take place in Harghita Băi on 31 May 2026, followed by a special Children’s Day programme on 1 June dedicated to children and families.
The event will bring together elite athletes, coaches, young participants, and the local community for two days of interactive biathlon activities designed to promote accessibility, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles. Around 450–500 participants are expected to attend each day.
The programme on 31 May will include laser shooting sessions supervised by coaches, biathlon sprint demonstrations by members of the Romanian national team, public competitions combining running and shooting, and an inclusive biathlon relay featuring mixed teams of children, adults, and community participants. Visitors will also have opportunities to meet athletes, take photos, and receive autographs.
On 1 June, activities celebrating International Children’s Day will focus on introducing children and families to biathlon through mini biathlon experiences, sports games, coordination exercises, interactive workshops, and family competitions. Children will also take part in a dedicated mini biathlon competition followed by awards and recreational activities with national team athletes.
Through this project, Romania aims to promote the core values of biathlon — discipline, fair play, cooperation, and inclusion — while strengthening the connection between elite sport and the local community.
