On 24 May 2026, the Korea Biathlon Union hosted the 1st Korean International Biathlon Day at the Children's Garden in Seoul's Gwangjin-gu district, introducing hundreds of children and families to the exciting world of biathlon.

A total of 215 participants officially took part in the event, including 114 males and 101 females. Among them were 84 boys, 30 men, 93 girls, and 8 women. In addition, a number of children and international visitors also joined the activities throughout the day.

Held at one of Seoul's most popular family destinations, the event featured interactive "Try-It" zones, where participants of all ages could experience biathlon through fun, hands-on activities. Special attention was given to children under the age of 12, providing many with their first introduction to the sport in a welcoming and family-friendly environment.

Building on the success of a similar event held at the same venue in 2025, the Korea Biathlon Union aimed to inspire a new generation of young athletes and encourage long-term participation in biathlon.
