Olympic Day celebrated with floor curling and biathlon in Oeiras

To mark Olympic Day, FDI-Portugal was invited by the Portuguese Olympic Committee (Comité Olímpico de Portugal) to showcase two of its disciplines at a special event held in Oeiras. Floor Curling and Biathlon took centre stage in a memorable celebration, where sport and history came together in the beautiful gardens of the Marquês de Pombal Palace.

Throughout the day, hundreds of children and young people had the opportunity to discover the excitement of winter sports through activities combining precision, strategy and plenty of fun. The event provided an engaging introduction to both disciplines, allowing participants to experience their unique challenges in an enjoyable and inclusive environment.

For FDI-Portugal, celebrating Olympic Day means promoting the Olympic values of respect, excellence and friendship. The event in Oeiras offered the perfect setting to inspire the next generation while sharing a passion for winter sports with the wider community.
