Record-breaking “Biathlon for Everyone” event in Marciszów attracts 354 participants

On 17 May, Marciszów hosted the largest “Biathlon For Everyone” event in the history of the programme, attracting a record-breaking 354 participants. Organised by the Polish Biathlon Association, the competition gave children, young people and adults the opportunity to experience biathlon through a combination of short-distance running and laser rifle shooting.

The event was held as part of the “Popularisation of Biathlon among Children and Youth” programme, which promotes physical activity and introduces local communities to biathlon in an accessible and engaging format.

Participants competed across several age categories, with all competitors receiving commemorative medals and the top performers receiving prizes. The use of safe laser rifles helped create an exciting atmosphere for both participants and spectators, while encouraging healthy lifestyles, sporting values and community involvement.

The outstanding turnout in Marciszów set a new attendance record for the “Biathlon For Everyone” series, highlighting the growing popularity of the initiative across Poland.
