Salzburg Orienteering Challenge brings Biathlon 4 All coordinators together

The 2026 Biathlon 4 All Project Coordinators’ Meeting began with a unique team-building activity as participants took part in a city orienteering challenge through the historic streets of Salzburg on 29 June. The event offered coordinators from around the world an opportunity to get to know one another while exploring one of Austria’s most iconic cities.

After travelling together by public transport from Hotel Hubertushof to the city centre, participants met at Entenbrunnen in Salzburg's Nonntal district before setting off on the orienteering tour. Divided into five international teams, coordinators followed a designated route, visited key locations across the city, and captured group photos at each checkpoint to share with fellow participants. The activity concluded with a group dinner at the traditional Stiegl-Keller Restaurant overlooking Salzburg's Old Town.

The teams reflected the international nature of the Biathlon 4 All programme, bringing together representatives from Europe, Asia, Oceania, North and South America. By mixing National Federations from different regions, the challenge encouraged new connections, collaboration and the exchange of ideas before the meeting's working sessions began.

While the primary focus was on discovering Salzburg, the activity also embodied the spirit of Biathlon 4 All by combining movement, teamwork and fun in an informal setting. The orienteering challenge helped create a welcoming atmosphere for the days ahead, laying the foundation for productive discussions and stronger international cooperation throughout the Project Coordinators' Meeting.
