Serbia brings biathlon to communities across the country
To celebrate International Biathlon Day 2026, Serbia organised its “Biathlon for All” initiative on 30–31 May, with activities taking place in Sjenica, and Zlatibor.
Held across multiple locations, the initiative aimed to introduce biathlon to new audiences and encourage greater participation in the sport through accessible, community-focused activities.
Participants of all ages had the opportunity to learn about biathlon, discover its unique combination of endurance and precision, and engage with the sport in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The events were designed to make biathlon approachable for beginners while highlighting the values of active lifestyles, participation, and enjoyment of sport.
By bringing International Biathlon Day to different regions of the country, the Serbian biathlon community helped raise awareness of the sport and inspired more people to get involved, regardless of age or previous experience.
