Skiclub Schwendi-Langis at the Obwalden Cantonal School Sports Day in Sachseln

Skiclub Schwendi-Langis was pleased to take part in this year's Obwalden Cantonal School Sports Day in Sachseln with a biathlon activity stand. Around 700 students had the opportunity to discover the sport of biathlon in a fun and interactive way and try it for themselves.

Thanks to the IBU's Biathlon 4 All project, which provides laser rifles and the necessary equipment for introductory biathlon activities, the children and young people were able to gain their first experience in shooting. With great concentration and enthusiasm, they aimed, hit the targets, and competed for the best scores. Head-to-head challenges with friends proved especially popular, allowing participants to put their accuracy to the test.

The biathlon stand attracted visitors throughout the entire day. Many students returned several times to improve their scores or challenge their friends again. Their enthusiasm and competitive spirit were evident from start to finish.

The activity was supervised by our experienced coaches and dedicated club volunteers, who ensured that everyone could enjoy a safe and rewarding first biathlon experience.

We are delighted by the strong interest and the many positive responses we received. The Cantonal School Sports Day provided an excellent opportunity to introduce biathlon to a wide audience and hopefully inspire some of the participants to develop a lasting interest in our sport.
