Sports Festival: a successful first edition

On 14 September 2025, Paris hosted the first edition of the Sports Festival, a major national event in which the French Ski Federation (FFS) was naturally involved.

The federation was present in the Sentez-vous Sport village with a dedicated stand offering a range of introductory activities for all, including biathlon and ski erg.

Prominent figures from the world of winter sports, including Martin Fourcade, multiple Olympic and World Champion in biathlon, and Edgar Grospiron, Olympic Champion in freestyle skiing (moguls), took part in the Alps 2030 Biathlon Challenge alongside numerous athletes, with technical support provided by Biathlon Experience.

Several thousand participants gathered throughout the day in the heart of the free-access village to try new sports and discover their benefits.

The event also provided an opportunity for the FFS to share its passion for skiing with a broad audience and to highlight that, from 1 October, licences can be obtained through affiliated clubs, enabling participation in year-round activities such as physical preparation, roller skiing, Nordic walking, mountain biking, and, of course, skiing in all its forms.
