On 23 August, the Nordic Weekend Kids Event took place in Andermatt – and it was a tremendous success! While the professionals tackled the challenging mountain run in the morning, the afternoon was all about the kids. Numerous enthusiastic young athletes took the opportunity to experience the fascination of Nordic sports up close and spend an unforgettable afternoon together with the pros.
The program offered plenty of variety and fun: During the laser biathlon, the kids had the chance to gain their first experiences and put their aiming skills to the test. At several stations, there were also balance and coordination challenges that were not only demanding but also highly entertaining.
A special highlight was the core stability training and the joint running session through Andermatt alongside the C-squad junior athletes. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn directly from the professionals and pick up valuable tips from the best.
Another memorable moment came during the autograph session with stars Nadine Fähndrich and Selina Gasparin, who took plenty of time for their young fans. The day concluded perfectly with an exciting biathlon relay, personally led by Selina Gasparin, which rounded off the event in style.
The Nordic Weekend Kids Event 2025 was filled with joy, fun, and action – an afternoon where the kids were not only challenged physically but also left full of motivation and enthusiasm for Nordic winter sports.
