The third stage of the “Shoulder to Shoulder: All-Ukrainian School Leagues” takes place at the Yunist Youth Sports School stadium in Chernihiv

At the Yunist Youth Sports School stadium in Chernihiv, the third stage of the “Shoulder to Shoulder: All-Ukrainian School Leagues” cross-country biathlon sports and wellness competition took place. The event was held under the slogan “Winning Together” with the support of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine.

Partners of the event included the Chernihiv Regional Biathlon Federation and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine branch in the Chernihiv region.

This time, students from grades 7–9 representing three educational institutions of the Chernihiv district took part in the competition: Horodnia Lyceum No. 2, Kyselivka Lyceum, and Kozelets Lyceum No. 3.

Among the guests attending the official opening ceremony were Nina Lemesh, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Biathlon Federation and Head of the NOC of Ukraine branch in the Chernihiv region; Serhiy Kramarenko, Head of the Chernihiv District Military Administration; Denys Zakruzhnyi, Head of the Mass Sports Agency of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region; as well as directors and coaches of two youth sports schools where biathlon is actively developed.

“Despite the war and all the challenges, we continue to develop youth sports and create opportunities for children to grow, strengthen their health, and build team spirit. The future of the Chernihiv region lies in strong and active young people who never give up and keep moving forward,” noted Nina Lemesh.

Winners and prize recipients in three age categories among boys and girls were awarded medals and certificates.
