On 26 June, Biathlon 4 All successfully organised its first-ever laser biathlon competition for children with disabilities, marking an important milestone in making biathlon more inclusive and accessible in Ukraine.

The event brought together 22 participants, who competed in an exciting head-to-head duel format across two age categories. The youngest participant was born in 2019, demonstrating that biathlon can be adapted for children of different ages and abilities.

The competition was conducted using laser rifles and one laser rifle adapted for athletes with visual impairments, generously provided by the Ukrainian Paralympic Biathlon Team. This cooperation made it possible to create equal opportunities for all participants.

A key role in the event was played by young coach Serhii Seniuk, who has become an active member of the Biathlon 4 All project and works regularly with children with disabilities. His commitment and professionalism were essential to the successful delivery of this important event.

The Volyn Regional Biathlon Federation, led by Roman Andriichuk, also played a vital role by actively supporting the planning and organisation of the competition.

This event was more than a competition, it demonstrated that biathlon is a sport without barriers. Every child deserves the opportunity to participate, discover their potential, and experience the joy of sport. This is only the beginning of our journey toward a more inclusive future for biathlon in Ukraine.
