Vilnius marked International Biathlon Day with Biathlon 4 All event

A Biathlon 4 All event was held in Vingis Park, the largest park in Vilnius, Lithuania, to celebrate International Biathlon Day.

Approximately 120 residents and visitors took part in the free event, which was open to people of all ages and abilities.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in biathlon activities combining a short running loop with laser shooting on electronic targets. Four Olympic biathlete mentors conducted demonstrations, provided coaching and guided participants through the activities.

The programme ran from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and included continuous public participation sessions. A children’s biathlon competition was held at 12.00 p.m., featuring prizes and several participation categories for young athletes.

Family challenges, photo opportunities and interactive activities were also available throughout the event.

Organised according to the Biathlon 4 All principles, the event aimed to promote participation in biathlon and provide an accessible introduction to the sport in an inclusive environment.
