Winter Olympic Festival in Kranjska Gora
The Olympic Festival during the Olympic Games is a special Olympic experience that perfectly complements the diverse range of sporting events for young sports enthusiasts. It offers the passion and excitement of the Olympic Games in several locations across Slovenia, while live broadcasts of the competitions on large screens bring the atmosphere of the world’s biggest sporting event to all Slovenian fans at home in Slovenia. We will follow our Olympic heroes on big screens and radio receivers, while also having the opportunity to try our hand at various sports ourselves.
This year’s Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Festival will stop at three idyllic winter locations – Kranjska Gora, Kopa, and Pokljuka. Under the auspices of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia-Association of Sports Federations, we will cheer, rejoice, and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Olympic heroes. In addition to watching broadcasts from the Olympic venues in Italy, where our best winter athletes will be competing for Olympic medals, young people and the young at heart will be able to try their hand at numerous snow sports and discover new talents. Among the diverse range of Olympic events at the ski resort, you will be able to choose between fun competitions in giant slalom, biathlon, ski jumping, as well as curling, telemark skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and many other sporting challenges.
In addition to Olympic ski jumping on a mini ski jump, biathlon, curling, and snowboarding, all three locations will also offer sports challenges in mini golf on snow and telemark skiing. At Kopa, sports enthusiasts will also be able to compete in alpine skiing, while at Pokljuka, the cradle of cross-country skiing and biathlon, there will also be a cross-country skiing challenge.
