Young athletes discover biathlon at multisport event in Issime

More than 120 children had the opportunity to discover biathlon during a multisport event held in Issime, in Italy’s Aosta Valley, on 16 August.

The event invited children aged between six and 12 to try a wide range of sporting activities, including mountain biking, inline skating, rock climbing and cross-country skiing on grass.

Biathlon was also part of the programme, with young participants testing their marksmanship using laser rifles at the shooting range. More than 120 children took aim throughout the day, getting a hands-on introduction to one of the sport’s key disciplines.

To round off the sporting experience, the children also had the chance to put their endurance to the test in a mini-trail race.

The event provided a fun and active environment for young participants to discover different sports while experiencing biathlon in an accessible way.
