Zlín welcomed a lively crowd of children and teenagers on 27 September 2025 for “Zlín Day”, a local event focused on getting young people active through simple, fun activities inspired by biathlon.

The day brought together 288 participants across different age groups. The largest group was children under 15, with 141 taking part (85 boys and 56 girls). There were also 90 youths and 57 juniors, showing a good mix of ages throughout the event.

The programme centred on play-based activities, giving participants a chance to try out basic skills in an easy and enjoyable way. Laser shooting was one of the highlights, attracting plenty of interest from both beginners and those trying it again.

With the help of two volunteers and two coaches, the event ran smoothly and kept a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Feedback on the laser rifles was positive, with organisers noting that everything worked as expected.

Zlín Day showed that even smaller local events can make a real impact, giving young people a chance to try something new, stay active, and enjoy sport without pressure.
